The purpose of studying the discipline is for specialists to acquire competencies for the formation of theoretical knowledge about the peculiarities of gas production, the use of natural resources in the construction of gas pipelines and the impact of production processes on the environment.
As a result of studying the discipline, the student must demonstrate the following learning outcomes through knowledge, skills and abilities: use knowledge of the basics of ecology, geography and landscape ecology to analyze the man-made impact of oil and gas industries on the environment; knowledge of the basics of normalization of anthropogenic pressure on the environment; acquisition of knowledge on the impact on the environment of technological processes of the extractive industry, to use knowledge of the causes of man-made hazards.
The study of the discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies provided by the relevant standard of higher education in Ukraine: understanding of the processes of oil and gas production as sources of negative impact on the environment; acquaintance with alternative technologies that are characterized by minimal impact on the environment; study of mineral resources and processes of development of mineral deposits; ability to analyze technological processes as a source of negative impact on natural objects
