-        - the ability to apply modern methods of mathematical modeling of the development of oil and gas deposits, advanced technologies of well drilling, extraction, transportation and storage of oil and gas.

-        - analyze, evaluate and apply modern software and hardware platforms for solving complex problems of oil and gas engineering.

Features of training on the course:

The theoretical and laboratory material of the discipline is aimed at ensuring the technological efficiency of the well exploitation process by using modern software products for modeling the processes of oil field development and methods of achieving the best technological results by an oil and gas production enterprise, based on final profitability.

This enables students to rationally combine and effectively use all elements of the production process (techniques, technologies, materials, personnel).

Brief description of the discipline

The purpose of teaching the educational discipline "Using software products in designing the development and operation of oil fields" is for specialists to acquire competencies in using modern software products for modeling the processes of oil field development.

One of the main tools for making informed strategic and tactical decisions in the development of oil fields is the use of software products for building numerical three-dimensional continuously operating models of oil fields, which take into account in detail all possible physical and chemical processes associated with filtration in the hydrocarbon reservoir and phase transformations of hydrocarbon systems.
